Ensure all assigned loan transfers are completed according to existing processes and procedures. Maintain all SLA’s and proper tracking of SLA’s within the transfer timeline. Act as the accountable party for all assigned loan transfers from start to finish, including post-load support. Update all systems and trackers to ensure all other business units are up to speed on all aspects of each loan transfer. The Deal Manager is responsible for all communications on an assigned transfer and are responsible for each checkpoint of the timeline being completed timely, this includes communications with other servicers, clients and internal associates.



  • Maintain stated performance level for all assigned transfer and update the transfer checklists and other trackers accordingly

  • Act as the empowered single point of contact for all assigned servicing transfers

  • Manage, schedule and run the agenda for all transfer calls with new servicers, clients, and internal parties

  • Set, manage and prioritize a proactive schedule for all servicing transfers and communicate that to appropriate parties such as counter-servicers, clients and SMS associates

  • Ensure all compliance timelines are adhered to and properly documented

  • Assist the business units by providing the transfer data and setting up department specific calls as needed to facilitate a seamless transfer, keeping in mind a culture of proactiveness for any impending issues that may arise

  • Ensure data is retrieved timely from prior servicer and delivered to the mapping team for loading

  • For inbound transfers, perform Level 2 review of data mapping at prelim and final for all assigned transfers

  • Ensure all transfer notices are accurate and sent timely

  • Complete Post transfer reconciliations as required by the prior servicer

  • Monitor each transfer for delivery of necessary data prelim, final, wires, images, etc.

  • For outbound transfers, run Post-Release reconciliation for all assigned transfers ensuring that the proper data was delivered to the new servicer

  • For outbound transfers, set-up the transfer in Servicing Director timely and insure the departments properly notify all vendors of the service release

  • Respond to all SCSM tickets timely and work with prior servicers to fulfill individual requests

  • Respond to all external and internal emails completely and within internal & external SLA’s

  • Provide portfolio management, clients and SMS management weekly updates on current transfers and upcoming transfers increasing transparency in the transfer process

  • Ensure all post service released payments are forwarded or processed within SLA on outbound transfers

  • Collaborate with management on creating and improving processes and procedures within the group

  • Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management


  • Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external groups

  • Strong skills with project management, process management, and documentation thereof

  • Significant SQL querying and analysis experience

  • Significant experience in Mortgage Servicing or other relevant financial industry

Educational Requirements:

  • College or university degree in the field of Business, Data Analysis, computer science, process improvement, project management, etc. or significant experience in the field


    Work Schedule & Travel

  • Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 with some minor flexibility

  • Certain after hours/weekend support may be necessary for projects or high business volume situations

  • After hours/ weekend email monitoring

  • Up to 10% travel to other company locations for projects, training, etc.
