Description

Summary:
The individual will work closely with attorney firms to facilitate second lien foreclosures, suits on note, mobile home foreclosures and oversight of specialty loan legal actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes pre-foreclosure reviews to ensure loans are referred for foreclosure based on company and client requirements.

  • Monitors senior lien activity on all junior lien accounts

  • Works directly with the Portfolio Management team to access equity position and recommend legal action such as suits on the Note, where applicable.

  • Ensures all second lien accounts have adequate protection and notification of senior lien foreclosure activity.

  • Completes, monitors progress and insures deadlines are met for invoice approval, foreclosure referrals, foreclosure bidding instructions and other foreclosure related tasks.
  • Calculates and prepares reinstatement, payoff figures, and other debt information to provide to foreclosure firms.

  • Responsible for timely processing of activities and responsiveness of alerts to ensure foreclosure timeline is met.

  • Conducts review and validation of legal documents to ensure accuracy.

  • Manages attorneys to ensure Foreclosure process is consistently progressing.

  • Ensures accounts are properly documented with accurate and comprehensive status updates.

  • Follows established company guidelines, department policies and procedures.

  • Identify opportunities to shorten timelines, drive performance and minimize loss.

  • Assist on other projects as assigned by Management.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Legal or mortgage servicing experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency of Black Knight/LPS preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities by maintaining a daily worklist in addition to other assignments.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.

  • Second lien or mobile home default experience preferred.

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills and be able to work with general supervision applying established procedures and specific standards.

  • Proficient in MS Office package, including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; college degree or extensive servicing experience preferred.
